Nominated for the Liebster Award!

I’m excited to tell you that Cindy from Cindy’s Travel Diaries has nominated me for the Liebster Award. Liebster Award is a virtual award given to blogger by other blogger as a symbol of recognition.

Cindy writes a travelblog about her travels and tips. Her blog is in two languages: French and English which I think is awesome. I especially enjoy her tips so go and check them out!

Once you’re nominated, you should answer the questions asked by the person who nominated you, so here it goes:

1.Where are you from and what’s your favorite thing in your city?

I’m from the cold country in the Northern Europe called Finland. (Neighbouring country to Russia, Sweden and Norway). At the moment I’m living in Helsinki but I lived my entire childhood in Espoo which is located next to Helsinki. I feel like Espoo is more my city than any other so I will choose my favourite place from there.

My favourite place in Espoo is a hill that has a perfect view over the archipelago and to the Baltic Sea. It is wonderful place to go to whether it’s summer or winter. It’s an unknown place for most of the people (even for locals) so I will keep the secret coordinates only to myself.

2.What would a perfect day look like for you?

My perfect day would include staying in a paradise island: palm trees, coral sand and warmth. I would be there with my other half snorkeling, drinking cocktails and eating exotic fruits. We would snorkel for few hours in the turquoise water spotting amazing corals and colorful fish. After that we would go to the massage together and relax in the hammock. In the evening we would have a candlelight dinner on the beach just the two of us.

3.What was the best place you’ve ever been to and why?

This is such a difficult choice. I have so many different reasons to rate places as the best ones. Out of all the places I’ve been to I would choose as my favourite place Koh Raya Yai in Thailand.

Raya Yai island is the best place I’ve been to because it is a true paradise island and I worked there for several months. In Raya Yai the sand on the beaches is coral sand, it’s as white as snow and the water is amazingly turquoise. It’s the place I can call as my second home. It was my dream come true to work in a paradise and learn how to dive!

Now I started missing Raya Yai!

4. What’s your favorite quote?

This is easy! My favourite quote is – even though I invented it: “Dreaming of travelling – travelling for dreaming”. I’m the eternal dreamer which is why I chose my career in travel industry in the first place.

5. If you had to eat the same meal every day, what would it be? (yes, I love food so I needed to ask you something about it 😉 )

This is tough. I would eat fruit smoothie – I never get tired of it!
